Michael focused on develops individual character’s personality and established a complete universe for his Galaxybunch story in the past few years. In 2007 he has already more than 60 characters in the story, which includes monsters, creatures, aliens and robots. Toys from the Galaxybunch Universe already nine characters called “The Virus Series” have been coming alive. Galaxybunch has taken part in many exhibitions and toy shows, such as TTF since 2007 several other shows around asia and as well San Diego Comic Convention.

So what do we need for doing a clay model. First you need clay than some tools for shaping the penguine you can get them in an art store, furthermore you need kind of imagination and a fealing for shaping clay its different to digital shaping in a 3Dprogramm so take your time. If it is your first time you are doing things with clay just take your time.

Its very intersting seeing how an 2D shape transforms to a real Object. After finishing the shape you have to dry the clay slow and afterwards you can go forward on painting the figure to get the first fealing how the caracter would look in reality

From the artistic perspective we would say its not what we personaly prefere to see in the designer and art toy scene. We understand that it is necesary and like as well cross overs with plattforms like qee, trexi, etc are doing with brands. But may some fans of mindstlye dont like the movement as well cause people are collecting these art and designer toys and arnt realy not intersted in collecting mainstream characters from disney and support there more than less not the art. Somehow like the wolf in the sheepfur but anyway that can challenges the others maybe as well and bring new creations to life.

Big Brands are realeasing more and more there DIY things and plattforms but as they mostly have more money its hard for the real inventors of this industry to follow up but thats business Anyway we liked to see a lot of nice 3D paintings so appriciate the Video and as well making this kind of artform more and more popular all over the world through this big brands may helps as well the other players in the scene.

The Artist:

Nara first came to the fore of the art world during Japan’s Pop art movement in the 1990s. The subject matter of his sculptures and paintings is deceptively simple: most works depict one seemingly innocuous subject (often pastel-hued children and animals drawn with confident, cartoonish lines) with little or no background. But these children, who appear at first to be cute and even vulnerable, sometimes brandish weapons like knives and saws. Their wide eyes often hold accusatory looks that could be sleepy-eyed irritation at being awoken from a nap—or that could be undiluted expressions of hate. Nara, however, does not see his weapon-wielding subjects as aggressors. “Look at them, they [the weapons] are so small, like toys. Do you think they could fight with those?” he says. “I don’t think so. Rather, I kind of see the children among other, bigger, bad people all around them, who are holding bigger knives…” Lauded by art critics and hipsters alike, Nara’s bizarrely intriguing works have gained him a cult following around the world.

Nara’s artwork was featured in the album titled ‘Suspended Animation’ by experimental band Fantômas (Made up of Mike Patton, Buzz Osbourne, Trevor Dunn and Dave Lombardo) in June, 2005.
